Breathwork
Conscious breathing for nervous-system regulation, emotional release, and stress relief.
Breathwork →Racing thoughts at midnight, a body that will not stop bracing, tired but wired long after the lights go out: the problem is often not your schedule, it is a nervous system that never got the signal to stop. Breathwork for sleep at our West Hollywood studio uses conscious breathing to shift your body out of survival mode and into the rest it has been missing. Sessions with Certified Breathwork Facilitators Jaime and Yonatan Elkayam address sleeplessness, racing thoughts, and the chronic stress that keeps both awake.

Breathwork for sleep is a complementary practice, not a treatment for a diagnosed sleep disorder. When you are wired at night, your body is running on the same sympathetic activation that handles deadlines and traffic: an elevated heart rate, shallow chest breathing, a jaw and diaphragm that will not release. Slow, intentional breathwork reverses that pattern. A longer exhale than inhale stimulates the vagus nerve, which lowers your heart rate and signals safety to your nervous system, so the body finally gets permission to stop bracing.
It tends to help people whose sleeplessness is stress-driven: racing thoughts at bedtime, a mind that will not power down, and the tired-but-wired feeling that keeps rest just out of reach. Breathwork works alongside medical and mental-health care, not instead of it, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition. If you are being treated for a diagnosed sleep condition, breathwork works alongside that care, never in place of it.
Different breathwork techniques activate the parasympathetic nervous system at different speeds. Your practitioner guides you through whichever fits your nervous system that night, not a single fixed protocol.
Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 7, exhale slowly for 8. The extended hold and exhale lower your heart rate within a few cycles, one of the most studied sleep-onset techniques.
A full inhale, a quick second inhale to top off the lungs, then a slow, complete exhale, repeated a few times. It is one of the fastest ways to reduce acute nervous-system arousal.
Inhale 4 counts, hold 4, exhale 4, hold 4. A steady, even rhythm that quiets a racing mind without any effort to force relaxation.
One hand on the belly, one on the chest, breathing so only the belly rises. This is the baseline practice most clients carry home between sessions.

Private loft near Melrose and Highland in West Hollywood, warm light, nothing rushed. We start with a short conversation about what has been keeping you up: stress load, what you have already tried, where you feel it in your body.
No intake form to decode alone. This conversation decides which technique fits tonight: slow diaphragmatic patterns for high anxiety, cyclic breathing for stuck emotion, restoring techniques for exhaustion without sleep.
Jaime or Yonatan guides you through 45 to 60 minutes of intentional breathwork, fully clothed and comfortable throughout. Many clients notice their breathing and body settle within the first several minutes.
We close with a short integration period and a 10-minute pre-bed sequence to use at home, so you leave with a practice, not just an experience.
Virtual sessions are also available nationwide for clients who want the guided pre-bed practice without traveling to the studio.
I felt clearer, lighter, and more positive. It was like a pressure valve had been released.
By combining a mix of breath, body, mind and energy work all under one roof, in a single session, I am able to take care of myself as a whole being rather than doing maintenance on each of the parts individually.
