Reiki for Therapists · West Hollywood

Reiki for therapists in West Hollywood: your turn to receive

Licensed therapists often arrive at their own sessions running on empty, cycling through the same depletion they help clients move past. Word of Mouth offers reiki for therapists at our West Hollywood studio, with a married Usui Reiki Master Teacher team who understand what a full caseload costs a body. Come to receive and restore. No clinical framing required.

Held, For a Change

What is reiki for therapists, and how is it different?

Reiki for therapists is the same hands-on, hands-off energy healing practice we offer every client, with intake and pacing calibrated for someone who already speaks nervous-system language. You do not have to explain countertransference or secondary trauma. A session opens with our Intentional Attunement Process, a brief check-in that maps where energy is stuck or held, and for therapists that check-in often surfaces the week's clinical weight without you having to become your own client.

This session is for licensed therapists, coaches, and other caregivers who spend their week regulating everyone else's nervous system and rarely their own. Reiki is a complementary practice. It works alongside your clinical training and your own mental-health care, not instead of it, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.

How It Works

How reiki complements your clinical practice

Reiki for therapists is not positioned as a replacement for supervision, personal therapy, or your own clinical training. It works alongside all three, three ways.

  • Receive

Come as a client. Your session is yours, with no intake paperwork and no clinical framing. Reiki works on the body level that cognitive tools cannot always reach. Most therapists report feeling calmer and more present in their next session after receiving.

  • Refer

Clients who have plateaued in talk therapy and need a somatic or energetic next step can be referred to our West Hollywood studio for energy healing sessions. We work as a complement to their clinical care, never a replacement.

  • Incorporate

If you hold a Reiki certification or want to build one into your own practice, Jaime and Yonatan are Usui Reiki Master Teachers who train clinicians, bodyworkers, and healers. Many Word of Mouth graduates are licensed therapists.

Your Visit

What a session looks like when you are the client

1

Intentional attunement

A short check-in locates where the week's weight has landed, shoulders, jaw, chest, breath. You do not have to conceptualize it. You just have to say where it is.

2

Reiki treatment

Hands-on or hands-off work across the body's energy field. No conversation required. The session works whether or not you understand the mechanism.

3

Integration

A brief grounding at the close, sometimes with sound, sometimes breath, always with tea. You are not rushed off the table into your next hour.

4

Close and carry-forward

If you want to name what moved, we hold space for that. If you want to leave quietly, that is fine too. Your session is your time.

Most therapists report a noticeable shift after one session, with sustained change typically building across four to six sessions.

In Their Words

What therapists say

★★★★★

As a licensed clinical mental health therapist as well as a Reiki practitioner for over two decades, my experience with Word of Mouth was profoundly nurturing as well as professional and poignant. I walked away both feeling wiser and calmer while also more present and uplifted.

This level of comfort, trust, and at-homeness in my body is beyond what I knew was possible.

Good Questions

Reiki for therapists, answered

Honest answers about dual relationships, confidentiality, credentials, and what to expect before you book.

The Reiki itself is the same. What changes is the intake and integration. We do not ask you to explain countertransference or be your own clinician in our room. The session is calibrated for someone who has been regulating other people's nervous systems all week and needs to receive, not analyze.
Reiki is a complementary wellness practice, not a therapeutic or clinical relationship. We do not bill insurance, hold a clinical license, or provide mental-health services. Receiving Reiki here does not create a dual relationship under standard licensing board definitions. If you have concerns specific to your board, we are happy to talk through the structure of our practice on a brief call.
We hold all client information with the same confidentiality expectation you would hold for your own clients. We do not discuss who is in our studio, ever. Shared-community dynamics in Los Angeles are real, and we take them seriously.
Many therapists refer clients to us as a complementary support, similar to referring for acupuncture or massage. Because we do not provide therapy, diagnosis, or clinical services, most licensing boards do not flag this as a dual-relationship situation. We always position ourselves as complementary to your client's existing mental-health care.
Jaime and Yonatan Elkayam are both certified Usui Reiki Master Teachers, trained in traditional Usui lineage. Jaime also holds certifications in Energy Medicine, Breathwork Facilitation, and Somatic work. Yonatan holds certifications in Breathwork and Classical Pilates, and brings 30 years of musical and vibrational study. Neither is a licensed mental-health therapist, and that scope distinction stays clear in every session.
Most therapists report a noticeable shift after one session. Sustained change in how you carry the week's clinical weight typically shows up across four to six sessions. Reiki is a complement to, not a replacement for, your own mental-health care or supervision.
Yes. Many practitioners start with a single Reiki session, then move into coaching for therapists or the five-month Nourished Healer intensive once they experience the work. The programs integrate Reiki, breathwork, movement, and coaching in a longer arc.
A Reiki session follows our standard pricing of $150. Coaching programs, including the Nourished Healer intensive, are discussed and priced on a consultation call.
