What does Reiki Level 2 training include?
Reiki Level 2 training covers the five sacred Reiki symbols, two advanced attunements, distance healing using the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbol, emotional and mental healing techniques, and trauma and future healing work. You finish the weekend with hands-on practice hours, the skills to offer practitioner-level sessions, and a clear path toward Reiki Master if that is where you are headed.
Both "Reiki Level 2 training" and "Reiki Level 2 certification" describe what you receive: a formal weekend intensive, attunements in the Usui lineage, and a certificate of completion.
Your Toolkit
The Reiki symbols you learn at Level 2
We teach five symbols in the Usui tradition, so graduates leave with a well-rounded, versatile toolkit for practitioner-level work. Three of the core symbols:
The Mental and Emotional Symbol: Sei He Ki
Used for emotional healing, releasing mental patterns, and supporting trauma work. This symbol works with conscious and subconscious layers. Graduates often describe it as the most personally significant part of the training.
The Distance Symbol: Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen
Enables you to send Reiki healing across time and space. Distance healing sessions, past-event work, and future-intention healing all use this symbol. After Level 2, you can offer remote sessions to clients anywhere.
Why Level 2
How Level 2 differs from Level 1
Level 1 opens the channel. Level 2 gives you tools to direct it. The main shifts:
Symbols
Level 1 uses no formal symbols. Level 2 teaches five, each with a specific session application.
Distance healing
Level 1 is hands-on, in-person only. Level 2 trains you to work with clients remotely.
Emotional and mental healing
Level 2 introduces targeted Sei He Ki techniques for emotional release and trauma-layer work.
Practitioner readiness
Level 1 is self-healing focused. After Level 2, most graduates are ready to offer sessions professionally.

What to expect from a Level 2 weekend at our Melrose studio

Symbols, transmission, and first attunement
We cover the full Level 2 curriculum, introduce all five symbols through guided meditation and direct transmission, and move into your first advanced attunement from both Jaime and Yonatan.

Hands-on practice throughout both days
Every concept is practiced, not just presented. You will work in pairs on each symbol application, give and receive sessions, and build the hands-on hours that translate into confidence.

Distance healing lab
A set-aside block for the Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen symbol, including real-time remote session practice with partners in the group. This is where the theory becomes felt knowledge.

Integration, graduation, and next steps
We close with a final round of full Reiki sessions using all five symbols, a review of professional scope, and a conversation about readiness to take clients. You receive your certificate of completion.

Reiki Level 2 training FAQs

This is Usui Reiki training. Jaime and Yonatan both hold certification as Reiki Master Teachers in the Usui lineage. We teach the traditional symbols, attunements, and transmission structure within the Level 2 Reiki curriculum.
Most graduates are practice-ready after Level 2. We give an honest assessment at the close of the weekend rather than promise "start seeing clients today" as a marketing line. We help you evaluate readiness with each student individually.

We ask that you apply for a consultation to discuss Level 2 pricing. For context, Reiki Level 1 is $550 and Reiki Master starts at $750. Level 2 sits between those. Payment plans are available for students who need them.
Level 1 with another practitioner is accepted. We may ask a few questions to confirm you have the foundation the Level 2 curriculum builds on. Most candidates who completed any Usui Reiki Level 1 are ready.
Reiki is a complementary practice. We do not make clinical claims about PTSD or any medical diagnosis. Many clients find that Reiki supports nervous-system regulation and emotional release as part of a broader care plan. It is not a replacement for licensed mental-health treatment.
Yes. Many of our graduates integrate Reiki into an existing care practice. Reiki is complementary, not medical, so it does not interfere with your licensure as long as you represent it accurately to clients. We cover scope of practice during the training.
