The Third Level
What is Reiki Master training?
Reiki Master training is the third level of Reiki certification. It prepares you to receive the Master attunement, practice Master symbols, and teach Reiki to others. Mastery of the practice comes through years of daily self-Reiki and client work. This training starts that arc.
"Reiki Master" and "Reiki Master Teacher" are often used interchangeably in the Usui lineage. Both mean the same credential: you receive the attunement, the symbols, and the authority to initiate Level 1 and Level 2 students into Reiki. The certificate takes a weekend. Mastery of Reiki as a living practice takes years, which is why our mentorship structure supports your growth long after the intensive ends.

Before You Apply
Are you ready? Prerequisites before applying
We ask students to pause and reflect before applying for Master training. A short intro call helps make sure the timing feels right for you.

Complete Reiki Level 2
Our Level 2 training or training from another Usui-lineage teacher both qualify.

Practice for at least 12 months after Level 2
Daily self-Reiki. Regular sessions with willing recipients. A practice you can speak to honestly.

We will ask about it in your intro call. What patterns have you noticed? What has your practice revealed?

What Reiki Master training costs
Prices for Master training in Los Angeles range widely. Ours starts at $750 and includes attunement, full curriculum, teaching protocol, lineage documentation, and mentorship. Payment plans are available over two or three installments, no interest, no hidden fees.

Reiki transmission is relational. The most important part of Master training is not the attunement weekend. It is what comes after: practice, questions, and honest feedback from teachers who know your baseline. Our students stay connected for years.
Jaime Elkayam is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Energy Medicine Practitioner, Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Somatic Facilitator, and Relationship and Life Coach. Yonatan Elkayam is a Certified Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Breathwork Facilitator, Classical Pilates Instructor, and musician with 30 years of vibrational study. They are married, and in Reiki, that matters.

In the Usui lineage, both terms usually describe the same credential: the third-level attunement, Master symbols, and the authorization to teach Level 1 and Level 2 students. Our program certifies you to teach from day one of your post-training practice.
The attunement is a transmission, and in-person is the appropriate container for Master-level work. Our training happens at the Melrose studio in West Hollywood, so we do not offer online Master certification.
The intensive runs over a weekend. Realistic readiness comes after completing Level 2 and practicing consistently for 12 months or more. The certificate takes a weekend. The practice takes years, and that is what makes it meaningful. Learn more about the full path.
Our training honors the traditional Usui lineage. If you trained in a different lineage, we will discuss compatibility on your intro call. In most cases, students can receive Usui Master attunement alongside prior training.
We schedule a series of mentorship sessions to support you as you begin teaching. Timing and format depend on your individual pace. Many graduates stay connected for years, and there is no expiration on the relationship.

You are authorized to teach once you receive the certificate. Whether you are ready is a separate question. Most graduates begin with small informal groups before launching a formal class.
You do not have to teach anyone. Some students complete Master training to deepen their own connection to the lineage. Others plan to teach. Both are valid, and the intention is yours to hold.
